In 2019 most of the world was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Bands were not touring and were heavily looking towards online marketing and streaming private concerts to keep their fans engaged. IVsI initially formed as a long distance recording project by guitarist/vocalist Eric Goodman and drummer/percussionist Robby Laird.
Relying on a lifetime of classic metal and thrash roots, Eric Goodman began the writing process for the band's first album. The release of IVsI's video, Insanity In Solace paved the way to writing many songs that explored tight grooves and progressive melodies.
Their unique brand of entertainment fuses the sophistication of complex chord structure and song arrangement with the simplicity and rawness of hard-hitting grooves. This high-energy band has been hailed as a powerful new act by fans worldwide.
Eric Goodman, the creator of IVsI offers powerful lead and rhythm guitars while arranging distinct vocal dynamics to compliment the music. Chris Malidore, the band’s bass player, joined IVsI in January of 2022 replacing original bassist, Joe Kalinowski. Chris has brought a unique and thunderous approach to the band's sound. Robby Laird on drums provides impactful and rousing drum scores that elevates IVsI's material.
The band plans a series of video releases as singles to their upcoming album with plans for a full release in 2022.
